02 / Process

How we handle it

You get a price before any work begins, and a tested result at the end.

  1. 01

    Inspect the board

We check the existing board, breakers, joints and any signs of heat or burning.

  2. 02

    Match the ratings

Each MCB is chosen to suit its wire size and load, with an RCCB added for shock protection.

  3. 03

    Fit and label

We fit the new board, tighten and dress every connection, and label each circuit.

  4. 04

    Test the protection

We press the RCCB test button, check each circuit under load, and show you how to reset safely.

03 / Good to know

Straight answers

MCB and RCCB do different jobs

An MCB protects the wiring from overload and short circuits. An RCCB detects current leaking to earth and protects people from shock. A good board has both.

Label every circuit

A labelled board means anyone can switch off the right circuit fast, and repairs take less time.

Add surge protection

Monsoon lightning can push voltage spikes through the supply. A surge protection device at the board helps protect TVs, routers and other electronics.

Questions about switchboard and mcb

Not covered here? Call or WhatsApp and ask.

Why does my MCB keep tripping?

It is usually an overload, a short circuit or a leakage fault. Repeatedly resetting it, or fitting a larger one, hides the problem. Call us and we will trace the cause.

Do I need an RCCB?

We recommend one for any home, and especially where there are wet areas, a geyser or a washing machine. It cuts power quickly if current leaks through a person or a damaged appliance.

Can you upgrade an old fuse box without rewiring the house?

Often yes, if the wiring behind it is in good condition. We check the wiring first and tell you honestly if the board alone is enough.
